Some people find it hard to believe you can eat or drink flowers too. I am here to tell you, yes you can! There are many indigenous flowers that are edible and easily available in India. These flowers offer you a ton of health benefits. Flowers also contribute to a therapeutic effect with their fragrance and colors. Today we will discuss four such flowers. Rose, Hibiscus, Chamomile, and Lavender.
Before making any kind of tea from these flowers do not forget to wash them thoroughly.

Rose Tea
Roses
Roses are a powerhouse of antioxidants. You can make rose tea by steeping the petals overnight in water. Strain the water in the morning and drink. If you like hot rose tea then you can also boil the petals for 1 to 2 minutes. Switch off the flame, strain the liquid, and drink. You can also add some honey, lemon, and cinnamon powder as per your taste. Straining the liquid is also optional.

Hibiscus Flowers
Hibiscus
Make hibiscus tea to learn a new magic trick. Wash thoroughly and boil the flower petals in water. Tea attains a deep red color after boiling. Let it steep for 2 to 3 minutes To see the magic, add lemon to this tea and see the color transform to a bright red. You can also add some honey and pudina leaves for freshness.

Chamomile Tea
Chamomile
A flower so merciful that it lets you get a good night's rest in this FOMO world. Enjoy a cup of chamomile tea before going to bed for quality sleep. You can buy dried buds of the flower that can be easily added to water and boiled. Let it steep for a few minutes, strain the liquid, and enjoy with some honey.

Lavender Tea
Lavender
Are you expecting a purple-colored tea? Well, get ready to be disappointed because lavender tea is yellow in color and not purple. But the benefits are just as expected even if the color is not. Add some lavender buds into boiling water, switch off the flame, and let it steep for a few minutes. Your tea is ready, strain and drink.
Always try to source pesticide-free flowers grown with organic fertilizers. Enjoy the process of making tea. You can always experiment with the amount of flowers added and adjust the quantity of water. Even the steeping time will affect the intensity of flavor that you get. Find the combination that you like best. So, Drink up!
